Industrial procurement
Specification-critical industrial sourcing.
Trident Investments sources specification-critical raw materials from steel mills and industrial producers across the Americas, Europe and Asia. We support industrial procurement teams that need a qualified supply chain, technical oversight and continuity of supply.
What materials do we source?
Our industrial categories include mill scale, proprietary catalyst input materials and specialist metallurgical inputs. Product selection starts with the end-use specification, required quality and delivery programme. A broad commodity description alone is not enough to qualify a material for a particular application.
We work with producers across multiple regions to identify material that meets the client’s agreed requirements. The trading team combines engineering and commercial experience to assess the specification and the practical supply route together.
How is an industrial supplier qualified?
For a new supplier, the process includes technical review, sample submission and laboratory testing. Specification requirements, tolerances, quantity, schedule and delivery terms are agreed before procurement proceeds.
Cargo is inspected and tested by accredited laboratories under Trident’s physical oversight at origin. Loading oversight and documentation are part of the supply process, rather than an issue left for the receiving plant to resolve.
How is freight coordinated?
Industrial bulk programmes can use Handymax vessels. Our team coordinates freight through a dedicated chartering capability provided by a longstanding Athens-based shipping partnership. Documentation and freight planning run in parallel where timelines permit, with required approvals in place before cargo moves.
For a freight requirement independent of a material purchase, see our chartering and freight management service.
What supports continuity of supply?
Supplier qualification, production allocation and forward demand planning are central to a recurring supply programme. Trident works with clients on supply schedules and buffer-stock strategies, and maintains direct relationships with the producers handling the material.
Our published track record describes industrial supply experience and past interventions. Programme-specific results are historical examples rather than a guarantee for a new transaction.
