Ingredient procurement
Ingredients sourced
to your specification.
Trident Investments sources specification-grade food and nutrition ingredients from primary manufacturers in China and India. We work with contract manufacturers and brand owners that need supplier qualification, technical documentation and a dependable procurement programme.
Which ingredients are covered?
Our ingredient categories include collagen peptides, plant and whey proteins, amino acids, botanical extracts, vitamins and premix. A category name is a starting point: the procurement requirement is assessed against the specification, intended application and required volume.
The same sourcing discipline used in our industrial operations is applied to nutrition ingredients, including supplier qualification, physical presence at audit and specification control.
How do we assess an ingredient supplier?
The trading team engages with the technical and commercial requirements together. This includes reviewing the product specification and certificate of analysis (COA), assessing the supplier and clarifying the requirements for the supply programme.
Qualification work and volume commitments are addressed before the programme is agreed. The objective is to establish a suitable procurement relationship that supports manufacturing demand.
Is this service ingredient sourcing or manufacturing?
This page covers ingredient procurement for a manufacturing operation. Send your ingredient specification, required technical documentation and supply schedule to the trading team.
Our role is to assess suitable sourcing options and establish the qualification and supply requirements for the ingredient programme.
What determines a supply proposal?
The specification, volume, supplier qualification requirements, destination and timing shape the proposal. These should be considered together so that a commercial comparison reflects the ingredient and supporting documentation actually required.
Lead times, quantities and pricing are assessed for each ingredient and supplier. The proposed programme must fit the manufacturing requirement and the qualification work involved.
